Pancakes and Pajama Day

There is nothing like comfort foods, soft stuffed animals
and comfy clothing
to make your day extra special.
Add your best buddies and well... it just doesn't get any better!

Thanks to all our wonderful parent pancake flippers!!

The pancakes were delicious and so were the toppings!

What happens when your pancake is almost gone???

You ask for another one!!  :)

After our morning brunch,
we interviewed one another
with questions about our favorite comfort things.

We ended our day with Mrs. Kemp
leading us in some calming yoga poses.
What a wonderfully relaxing day of comforts!

Rosca De Reyes

Senora Crampton let us
each have a taste of the
Special Bread for Three Kings Day

The celebration is followed by a fiesta!
We had fun imagining
what could be inside of each one :)

Olay!
Gracias Senora!!

First Flakes of Snow at School

It's tradition!
When the first flakes of snow fall during the school day,
we stop what we're doing and make chocolate chip cookies - it's tradition :)
The smell of Toll House cookies fills the hallway.

Who cares if it's 8:30 in the morning - it's tradition!
We shared some warm cookies with our wonderful office staff too!

Our First Trip Together!

Meet Grandma Steffans.
She is telling us all about the importance
of bees in the apple orchard

After learning all about how apples grow
and the varieties on the farm,
we hopped on a wagon ride with Farmer Rob Steffans
to see the apples up close.

Below is Farmer Rob pointing out the red delicious apples we can try - yum!

 So many to choose from,
pick the best one!

CRUNCH!!!

Then it was off to the pumpkin patch so select a pumpkin for home

Thanks Steffans Orchard,
we had a GREAT time!!

Smile and say "Applesauce!"

Many thanks to Heather Saunders for these incredible pictures!!

A Serenade for Rosie

Drawing upon lullabies that were sung to them,
the kiddos spontaneously sing Rosie to sleep.
Precious!

Ending the year with a...Peep!

How does a teacher keep her student's
attention in school when summer is beckoning?
Hatch chicks!!!
You should have seen them skipping
down the hallway this morning to meet our new class pets

Rosie hatched at 7:50 this morning and the children
instantly sang 'Happy Birthday!"
Here she is getting use to all the smiles
that encourage her every move and peep.
What a great way to end our school year together!

Merry Month of May!

What do you do on a beautiful spring day?
Stop and marvel at the colors on display.

After their CHAMPion behavior - what a feat,
We stopped at Jersey Junction for an ice cream treat!
