Persuasive writing can be an interesting unit of study with kindergartners.
Earlier this week, we wrote a letter to Mrs. Allen to persuade her to allow kindergartners to eat lunch outside like the other grade levels - just once please. We wrote our plea and promised to eat first, clean up our trash and put our lunch boxes back in the provided bin. Our whole class signed the letter and sent a group of six to deliver our request. Her response, "maybe"đŸ˜‰
As we stood in line for lunch today, over the P.A. came the announcement, "Outside lunch for EVERYBODY!" We all jumped for joy - our voices were heard - our request was granted!!
