The First Flakes of the Season

Tradition!
It is known far and wide
that once the first snowflakes of the season drift down from the sky,
our class stops whatever they are doing
to make chocolate chip cookies.
Today was no exception.
At 9:00 this morning, the first white, fluffy flakes
danced in front of our classroom window.
A cheer rose as children pressing their little cheeks to the window
to watch this beautiful ballet.

"Are you ready to bake some cookies?"

We quickly zipped outside
with our dry erase boards adorned with illustrations
of our favorite cookie shape or how we were feeling about the first snow.
We were so happy Mr. Hall and Mr. Davison could join us!!!

The smell of Toll House cookies visited every classroom on the first floor.

The best part was enjoying them warm with friends!

It's tradition - a favorite one for sure!!!

Reading Fun in the Dark!

What could be more fun than reading with your own personal flashlight?
Thanks to Reader Man, we have been able to enjoy reading our books
with the classroom lights off.
This week, we will read by lantern light - perfect for Halloween!!🎃

Welcome 2019-20 Kindergarten Families!

This is the place to view all the fun and learning that happens in room 101.  We are a lively bunch and have already accomplished so many learning goals.  So check us out!!

In science, we have been learning all about weather and climate.
Here we are learning how a thermometer works by comparing temperature
readings in the sun, in the shade and inside our classroom.
We then recorded our findings on a graph.
